Now the lovely winter has arrived in Uvdal! The winter is here in full force, and the mountains adorn themselves with a sparkling white blanket. Many dream of having a cabin in this splendid mountain area. Here, you get something truly unique - the terrain is easily traversed, allowing you to wander alone amidst spectacular views and stunning nature everywhere.
Once you reach about 1300 meters, you'll quickly spot familiar landmarks. To the northwest, Hallingskarvet stands tall, followed by Hardangerjøkulen and Hårteigen in the west. Looking south, you can see all the way to Gaustatoppen, offering a breathtaking panoramic view.
After your trek, you return home to a handcrafted log cabin that transports you to another era, exuding its own unique ambiance. Equipped with modern amenities and infrastructure, the cabin becomes a retreat you can use every weekend throughout the year. Experiencing the four seasons in the mountains and the contrast from everyday life is what creates that perfect vacation sensation.

Turnkey log cabins
We understand that building a cabin can be a highly demanding and tiresome process. There's no reason for you to navigate all the pitfalls, which we are experts in avoiding. You just need to point out the plot, and leave the rest to us. We take care of everything from site maps, applying for permits from the municipality, groundwork, foundation, and erecting the dream cabin itself. All of this is included in the price. You participate in one meeting with us where you make your choices/preferences – most are cost-free and already included. We've chosen this approach so that the price you receive when the drawings are ready is the price you'll pay to enter an exclusive cabin without any unpleasant surprises, as often happens. We find suitable solutions tailored to you/your needs.
As soon as the foundation is ready on-site, the transport with the cabin's building kit will arrive, along with an experienced log building team that swiftly assembles the cabin. The log construction itself takes about a week, followed by the installation of the roof, doors, and windows. This way, the cabin quickly becomes weatherproof, which is a significant advantage in the wild and changing mountain weather.
